All that you wanted to know about Eyelid Surgery

Large amount of skin along with sagginess around eyes is common among old age patients. There is a cosmetic surgery executed for lifting excess skin from eyes. This surgery is termed as the eyelid lift surgery. The excess of upper eyelid skin and muscle is removed in the upper eyelid lift surgery through making incisions in the crease of the lid. The tissue that is sagging is made to remove and stitches are done to bring the skin together. A more energetic appeal is given that makes the eyes open and bright. The brow lift procedure is common in the sense that with age the eyebrows start to descend. This results into tiredness giving fullness to the upper eyelids. A brow lift can save you by elevating the brow. By making three to five small incisions in the hair line, the endoscopic brow elevation is made.

In order to release the tissues of the forehead a telescope is used with small instruments. The eyebrows post this are brought up by stitches in the temple area. Apart from stitches, sometimes screw fasteners are also used to bring the eyebrows together. The screw fasteners are known as Endotines that are absorbed in the body post cosmetic surgery in Belgium within a matter of nine months.

The surgery should be executed when there is droopiness in the eyebrows and not in the eyelids. Often patients do mistakes by thinking that they require upper eyelid lifts. For doing surgery all what is required is an upper blepharoplasty when eyebrows droop.  In the process of upper blepharoplasty the eyebrow lid margin is narrowed and the distance is shortened between the brow and the eyelash. This allows the eyebrows to come down and appear normal.

The real problem occurs when the elasticity of the skin decreases and the forehead descends. The brow due to gravity near the temple descends below the rim of bone where the eyes sit. Excess skin termed as the temporal hooding is produced due to this.

There are likely to be creases in the upper eyelid that can be seen in young patients. Patients also suffering from crow’s feet can undergo the surgeries.  Crow’s feet occur as a result of elevating the dropping brow. There are also chances of formation of creases on the forehead.

The main concern for all patients is excess and unwanted saggy skin near eyes. There are varied surgical procedures that need to be listed to patients before they undertake the surgery. Sometimes the patients may also require guidance in the operation. Computer imaging is one of the brow elevation methods to communicate the results of the surgery to the patient. It is vital for all patients to have an initial examination done that includes the eyebrow examination in a relaxed state.
Whether your Belgium cosmetic surgery of eyelids is done early or later on it should be undertaken through certified medical practitioners only.
